The "Wedding of the Year" has finally reached its grand conclusion as Bollywood superstars Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh officially became husband and wife. Following months of intense speculation, the couple exchanged vows in a stunning two-day ceremony held at the picturesque Villa del Balbianello overlooking the serene Lake Como.A Fusion of Traditions Respecting their diverse cultural backgrounds, the couple hosted two distinct ceremonies. On November 14, they wed in a traditional Konkani ceremony as a nod to Deepika’s roots, followed by a vibrant Anand Karaj (Sindhi) ceremony yesterday to honor Ranveer’s heritage. The events were strictly private, attended only by close family and friends, with a rigorous "no-phone policy" to ensure complete intimacy.
First Pictures Break the Internet After a grueling wait for fans and the media alike, the couple finally shared two official photographs on their social media handles last evening. The images, capturing the couple in exquisite Sabyasachi outfits, sent the internet into a meltdown, garnering millions of likes within minutes. Deepika looked ethereal in a traditional red lehenga featuring the Sanskrit incantation ‘Sada Saubhagyavati Bhava’ on her dupatta, while Ranveer looked every bit the royal groom in a matching sherwani.
Grand Celebrations Ahead While the Italian ceremonies were a private affair, the celebrations are far from over. The newlyweds are expected to return to India shortly to host multiple lavish receptions in Bengaluru and Mumbai for their extended family, friends, and the film fraternity.
